Accountant Essay



This essay will explain what key criteria, skills and qualities are needed in order to be an accountant. It will also explain what it is like in the day to day life for an accountant.
To become an accountant there are many key criteria required to enter this career or job. The key criteria to be an Accountant, you require a Masters Degree in Business, High Level of Ncea Level 3 for economics, statistics or calculus. You also need 3-6 years in training. This job prefers you take maths and economics and ICT at school. These are the key criteria needed to become an accountant.

To become an accountant there are many skills and qualities needed to enter this career or job. The skills to become an accountant you need Leadership skills, Adaptability, Teamwork, Negotiating, Analysing, Preparing, IT Skills, High Numeracy, Problem Solving. The qualities needed is Honesty, Leadership, Pay attention to detail, Multitask,  and being able to be punctual and being persistent. These are the skills and qualities required to enter the career path of an accountant.

In a day to day life of an accountant, requires a variety of difficult and stressful days. This will be discussed in this paragraph. In a day to day basis of an accountant's life, this includes heading to the office, you are required to check your emails, take voicemails, have meetings with your clients on how they can reduce how they can save money. Most of the time spent there will be on the computers. After all of this, you can finally go home and enjoy your night. For example, clients might make appointments with me to check up on their business finances. This is the day to day life of an accountant.

In conclusion, there are many key criteria and important skills and qualities required to be an accountant. Some of these are having a masters degree in business and completing NCEA lvl3 in maths to a high level. The general day to day life of an accountant involves many hours in front of a computer and in meetings with clients.
